Tour in the Tarn

Bonjour Team

Well our trip is up and riding! Our hotel for the majority of the trip is the La Villa De Mazamet, it is one of France's leading B&B's and is truly beautiful. Day one started off with a guided tour of Mazamet and a brief lunch before heading out for an easy 40km ride to spin the legs.

Day two kicked off with a “steady climb” up the Pic de Noir. Although the climb starts with gradients of 3 to 4 percent it soon kicks upwards in the last 8km, with 25km of climbing it is a challenging ride to start of our real first day on the bike. After the ride it was time for a quick shower and off to lunch at Lac des Montagnes which is the principle reservoir or Mazamet. Then it was a short drive to Carcassonne which contains the biggest medieval castle in Europe. Wow!!

Check of the photos and the link to the ride profile from the today.
